GVL Digital Clinic – Streamline Your Clinic’s Operations

GVL Digital Clinic is meant to help clinic owners and administrators run their clinics digitally and efficiently. It digitizes all clinic operations and follows the normal patient journey.

So, when a patient walks in, their identity can be confirmed digitally at the reception if they have been to the clinic before. If it’s their first time, their details can be added swiftly. The receptionist will then create a ticket for that visit, which will be transmitted digitally to triage, then to consultation, lab, and pharmacy as needed.

Running a clinic digitally ensures everything is smooth and quick. Patient details are pulled up in a second, at the click of a button — you don’t have to rummage through physical records.  Information flows instantaneously between various departments — if a doctor orders a lab test, it instantly shows up on the screen of the lab technician.

Also, everything is stored digitally and backed up in the cloud, so misplacing patient data, whether due to fire or some other mishap, is a thing of the past.

This article gives an overview of everything you can do with GVL Digital Clinic.

You Access GVL Digital Clinic Online – No Installations

To access the GVL digital clinic management system, all you need is an internet connection and a browser. There are no installations, which comes with several benefits.

To start with, you can access your account securely from any device with an internet connection. This means that the clinic doesn’t have to buy a desktop computer for every personnel who needs to access the system.

Additionally, since the software is online, personnel can access it even from their mobile devices. So if there’s a power outage and the receptionist can’t access the computer they use to initiate visits, they can log in through their smartphone and continue operating normally. And when power is back, the data from the visits they started on their smartphone will be synced, meaning the clinic continues running undisrupted.

GVL Digital Clinic Workflow

The GVL digital clinic management system makes it easy to manage patients by mirroring the normal workflow of a clinic.

Registration

When a patient walks in, they simply present their name and the receptionist does a search. If the patient has been to the clinic before, their data will appear, showing how many visits they’ve had in the past, the dates of the visits, and associated information like their contact details and address.

If the patient hasn’t visited the clinic before, the receptionist will type their data into the software and create a new patient file digitally.

Triage

Depending on how your clinic is set up, and the number of personnel you have, triage can be conducted separately or jointly with registration.

Your unique clinic setup will be mirrored in the software. You can create different users for triage and registration, each with different permissions. Alternatively, you can assign all triage and registration permissions to one user.

Regardless of the setup you use, the responsible personnel will be able to digitally record details like blood pressure and temperature, and they’re automatically added to the electronic patient file.

Once triage is done, the personnel selects which doctor to transfer the ticket to.

Consultation

The consulting physician can access all patient details through the ticket they receive from triage. They can then record any remarks from the consultation, such as the results of any physical exam.

If need be, they can request a lab test and send the ticket to a lab technician. The lab tech will carry out the lab tests and once the results are done, the ticket is sent back to the doctor, who can see the results.

As the doctor makes the diagnosis and decides on the treatment, they add remarks to the digital file. They then send the ticket either to the pharmacist or the cashier.

Lab

The lab tech receives tickets when lab requests are made. All the information about the necessary lab tests is easily accessible, enabling the lab tech to conduct the test without needing to communicate with the doctor.

After performing the test, they update the ticket with the test results and send it back to the consulting physician who had ordered the test.

Lab technicians can add tests or edit the parameters of existing tests. The clinic management system allows the clinic admin to restrict user rights such that only lab techs can add or edit lab tests.

However, if you need other personnel, such as doctors, to be able to add lab tests, you can also set it up that way.

GVL Digital Clinic is highly customizable, allowing you to set up the software to best suit your clinic and its unique needs.

Pharmacy

Once a pharmacist receives a ticket, they can see details such as diagnosis and prescribed treatment. If need be, they can make alterations to the prescription. They’ll then dispense the drugs.

At every stage of the workflow, personnel can add to the patient’s bill. For example, once a pharmacist issues medication, they’ll add that to the bill and it’ll automatically be added to the consultation fee.

Cashier

A patient’s ticket is sent to the cashier when the treatment process ends. The bill will include all the services the patient received during the visit, including consultation, lab tests, and medication.

Once the patient makes the payment, the cashier marks the ticket as closed.

Core Benefits of the GVL Electronic Medical Records System to Clinics

Cloud-Based Access

GVL Digital Clinic is cloud-based, which means clinics’ access to data is not limited by blackouts, malfunctioning computers, or lost physical records.

Clinics can access their data at any time from any device. So long as you can access the internet and you have the right user credentials, you can keep serving patients.

Cloud-based access also means GVL is mobile-accessible, which brings a new level of convenience compared to alternatives that must be installed on desktop computers.

Affordability

Electronic medical records systems are often priced out of the reach of small and medium-sized clinics. GVL’s pricing model is meant to make the system accessible to clinics of all sizes.

A critical aspect of the affordability of GVL’s EMR system is that no matter how many personnel you have, you pay the same low monthly fee.

Additionally, our subscription model allows you to continue receiving monthly updates as we roll out new features.

User-Friendly Interface

GVL Digital Clinic uses a simple, minimalistic, user-interface. The software is designed to be intuitive to use and easy to learn.

This is in contrast to alternative electronic medical records systems that are complex and have a steep learning curve. They often necessitate having an IT expert on the team to help out when things go wrong. With GVL, once you’re taken through the first walkthrough of the system, you can use it without any IT support.

Customization and Role-Based Permissions

GVL Digital Clinic allows clinic administrators to set up the system to suit their unique workflow, which is part of what makes the system easy to use.

Additionally, role-based access ensures that every team member only accesses the parts of the system that they need to access to do their job. This also ensures that access to sensitive patient information is limited.
